Jean Schlumberger, born in 1907 in Alsace, France, was a renowned jewelry designer best known for his work at Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger's designs were inspired by natural forms, particularly sea creatures and animals. He began his career creating buttons for fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1930s and later opened his own jewelry salon in New York with his partner Nicolas Bongard in 1946. In 1956, he joined Tiffany & Co., where he designed some of the most iconic pieces in the company's history.
